Via [livejournal.com profile] sleary: a UK design firm is running a survey of internet users' text preferences. Go fill it out! Those of us who design websites need to know what works best for the majority! :D

My goodness, they're ASKING? Instead of vying for Coolest Indecipherable Site Design? Most Creative Use of Weirdo Fonts in Body Text? :P Well, good for them.

There are some sites I've run across -- usually having to do with manga or anime, apparently put together by high school design students with laser eyesight -- that in order to read, I've had to copy and paste the text into Wordpad, I kid thee not...

I've run into sites like that today. One was an artist's FAQ written in 8-point white text on a black background.

I signed up for the mail-out about the survey results. This is info I want to know! :D (Especially about the serif vs. sans-serif thing: I find serif easier to read than sans-serif, but only if the font size is large enough.
