Hrm. I'm looking at the stats for the Project Blue Rose website, and as always (same with magatsu.net), there's a few hits from a crunchyroll.com group called "The Deliciousness of Men." Poking about crunchyroll leads me to believe it's a secret group - one that's invite-only and that you can't see the info for unless you receive an invite - which annoys me because I'm not sure if the PBR stuff is getting credited. The doujinshi on magatsu.net being hotlinked is less important than the fact that I think PBR things may be hotlinked without credit so that we can't, y'know, sell these things to people. Anyone here happen to be a member of that group who can tell me? (Long chance, I know.) I may have to resort to making a special image for hotlinkers like I did with Kenpachi-chan that contains sample pics and an ad telling people to go to projectbluerose.com. Or to invite me into their group. :)

And for amusement sake, I present the top 20 search strings that got the Project Blue Rose site this month. (Note that the vast majority - 2/3 or so - are from image searches.)

Listing the top 20 queries by the number of requests, sorted by the number of requests.

I so approve of searches for hot naked men, hot gay kissing, and variants thereof.

You know, you could probably sing my stats to "The Twelve Days of Christmas".

(and I'm going to have "Fiiiiiiive naaaaked meeeen!" in my head all day.")

Page bleed? O_o

Argh! Hotlinking is such a pain in the butt. How hard is it to give credit to the creator, link to the source site properly, and use your own web host to store images? Not to mention you're paying for someone to steal your bandwidth. -_-

Bwahahaha! That would be a fun silly project. Rewrite The 12 Days of Christmas with a bishie theme. X-D

Page bleed is when art goes all the way to the edge of the page and is cut off. You have to draw a certain amount past the edge of the page, to ensure it's cut off properly. :)

I wouldn't mind the bandwidth if it drove people to the site, but as it stands, I fear that there's no context.

Ah. I see.

Yeah. If the viewer has no clue who the creator was or where to find the source then it's still just a form of theft. At least give people something they can use to do a search with. *sigh*

...what are black blboys... or do I really want to know?

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2008-05-23 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
Not entirely sure. A quick Google without going to any of the results shows that a blboys.com features black gay men. Which means that 'black blboys' would be 'black black boys', I guess.

Clearly, we are missing an audience! (Since you strongly implied that Kenneth is straight.)

He could be bi!

Good point.
