Last night's dreams were a bit odd and probably prompted by a case of overall itchiness due to dry skin combined with finishing a story about changelings in an anthology of fairy novellas I bought in the airport. I dreamed that I was in a park or something with a lot of people and there was a huge 3-foot wide column of ants marching along. And out of pique I decided to destroy their nest, so I somehow obtained a shovel and wheelbarrow, and was digging it up to find and kill the queen only to discover that the queen was a human girl who had been abandoned as a baby and raised by ants. Which wasn't bad at all, because she could talk to and understand me, and could command the ants. And then the dream got more fragmented - something about filling a bathtub in a room full of books and plants, and then a room where a meeting was being held about going and doing something (presumably fighting crime?), and the people in the room were mostly unfamiliar Arrancar from Bleach, plus the Thing from the Fantastic Four.

Hmmm, dream! Lifetreks says:
Ant - Ants symbolize the power of consistent effort.
Bath - A bath represents the renewal of your energies.
Book - Books represent information of value in present circumstances.
Hee! Are you still having trouble making yourself get all those drawings and things done?

The bath could be the renewal of my energies,* or it could just be my deciding not to take a bath last night, no matter how tempting it was, because I needed to work on illustrations for the PBR chapbook. XD I sort of wish I had, though, as I'm ITCHY, DAMMIT and filling it with smelly skin-softening stuff might have helped.
* I did decide that the reasonable, consistent efforts on riding my bike last year might not have been just a symptom of the ADD treatment, but were probably also contributing to it - the times I stopped riding it regularly, whether deliberately due to overwork or accidentally because I got out of the habit - I tended to feel more overwhelmed and out of control. So I'm making an effort now to get more exercise.

So maybe we can add a label of Deadline Pressure to the Ant Queen. She's helping you by making the ants user-friendly and getting them marching in the right direction, after all.
:-D
As I keep telling the Mr., exercise really helps when you're too busy and it's making you nuts! The bang-for-the-buck equation favors it: 20-30 minutes of exercise on a day can positively affect several hours of work time on that day.

I also read a short article recently about studies that say exercise helps keep your brain active as you age, which is on my mind. Loss of mental faculties is one of my "Aaaaagggghhh, no!!" things. XD

I especially liked this from the "review": "I will, however, say that GHOST and its sequels are *excellent* for reading out loud to people, particularly friends who are horrified and actively begging you to stop. (And you will be inclined to disregard such pleas, because you will need to share the pain.)"
This sounds like something I just might do over a few drinks with friends. It seems we would need the alcohol to numb our senses a little...
