Art appreciation! I bough these two prints off of DeviantArt for my new apartment, and matted and framed them myself. Mind you, it was a rush job matting and I need to straighten them both slightly, but it was more important to get them protected from cats and dust and banging into things ASAP than it was to get them perfect. The price tag's still on the frames, as is the plastic stuff protecting the corners. I'll take that off in the new apartment, right before I hang them.




Look! A picture I don't completely hate! And with way more lifelike color than taking it in the bathroom mirror and adjusting in Photoshop! The one-eye-drooping thing might just be the camera catching me wrong, but it also might be because I'm suffering a migraine while I'm taking these pics. Not a bad one, but annoying and nagging and not going away, and also accompanied by slight nausea. WHEE!

I got the book because people were exclaiming over how various things were done in it, and I wanted to see. But I keep bouncing off of it, and haven't gotten past the first chapter. Aarg.

It is newish, but it's not powerful - it's a cheapo basic Internet box that I can use to take to cons or sit on the sofa and surf the Internet and not have to worry about dropping it or it getting stolen. And, as it's only got a gig of memory and is running Vista, it's slow. I use it as a media box, really - downloads go on it, and I manage the iPod from it.

Yumichika's the powerhouse and the one who actually gets things done around the place. XD

Those are very nice pictures of you, actually. The second one in particular gives me the oddest feeling that somehow I have met you FTF before, but I think it's just something about the directness of your gaze there.

I wonder, too. Studies have shown that cats have a real sense of aesthetics and some will even re-arrange their environment to suit those tastes. I wonder if they contemplate things like artwork and decide if they approve of it or not.

I think she's got a clean, modern design style, as she prefers it when the place is clean (mostly so she has uninterrupted sight lines, I think), and hates surfaces that aren't rock-solid underneath her. XD

Thank you! :) I'm not particularly photogenic, so it takes the right combination of lighting, pose, and eyes-not-closed for me not to look exceptionally goofy (you should see some of the pictures I *didn't* post. On second thought, you shouldn't XD). So I'm quite happy when I manage to get one I don't hate.

I think this is the first camera that's managed to show the actual color of my eyes. They usually go blandly muddy in pics.

"Hmmmm. I wonder how I can scratch these up?" She's scratched up my folding shoji screen. :P
