(no subject)

aarg, third day of this low-grade migraine. It's not hurting enough to take the meds, it's not responding to ibuprofen. It's just ... there, a minor headache that won't. go. away.

OW.

*hugs*

Maybe a different kind of headache medicine than what you usually use? (Doesn't the body sometimes build up a resistance to some medicines?)

That would require me leaving the apartment to buy some. :D

Well, actually, I do have some vicoden* the doc gave me for the times when my migraine meds don't work. It doesn't take away the pain** but it puts me to sleep.

* Which I smuggled, totally illegally, into Japan.
** Seems some opiates don't work on me. Codeine, no effect. Hydrocodone, no effect. Vicoprofen's the only thing that ever worked to relieve pain, and I think it may ahve been the ibuprofen instead of the hydrocodone in it.

Well, asleep means, no pain, so it's at least a step in the right direction...

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2007-10-21 04:33 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, maybe I'll pop one as soon as I finish watching Bleach. XD

Ok, if insane shonen heroes with giant swords doen't help, then there must be something seriously wrong...

Well, they're standing round explaining to each other how powerful their attacks are instead of just bloody ATTACKING right now.

I'm surprised my foot hasn't worm holes in my carpet from the tapping those scenes causes...though they can be highly entertaining in their way.

[identity profile] yhlee.livejournal.com 2007-10-21 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
Yikes. Hope it goes away soon.

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2007-10-21 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
It should... if it's still here tomorrow, I'm taking the Relpax, no matter how minor the pain is. The tiredness and apathy and general blahness that goes with it are just ... wearing.

[identity profile] the-z.livejournal.com 2007-10-21 04:31 am (UTC)(link)
I take it you didn't get a chance to catch the Death Note dub?

Get better soon.

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2007-10-21 04:34 am (UTC)(link)
The TiVo caught it for me. :D I'll watch it tomorrow.

Let me know what you think. I didn't get to see much of the sub, so I'm coming into this cold which is beneficial. Still, I'm curious to see how it compared-- that is, if you've seen much of the sub.

I think it was given some good treatment. It felt a little rushed, but it established the concept neatly in the debut episode.

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2007-10-21 04:42 am (UTC)(link)
I haven't seen any of the sub. XD I downloaded the first couple of episodes, then my ISP got cranky about BT, and I somehow never got around to watching the ones I'd downloaded.

Awwww! Is the head any better today?

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2007-10-22 04:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah - on Sunday I gave up and took Relpax, which made it go away. XD The pain, at least - I just exchanged the apathy and tiredness of the migraine for the apathy and tiredness of the triptan, but at least the pain wasn't wearing me down. XD

That's good to hear!

(Well, that it doesn't hurt anymore, anyway.)
