Woo-hoo! Howl's Moving Castle is getting a wide US release in June - 60 theatres at first, but expanding to 700, it seems.

Can't wait. I saw the fansub, but it'll be nice to see it without text covering half the screen. *makes plans*

I've been waiting for this since a friend heard it was announced and tossed the novel at me.

I didn't read the end on purpose.

The movie and the book are just different enough that you can't be sure that what's going to happen in the movie is the same thing that happened in the book. (There's that whole steampunk thing that Miyazaki added, for one.) But I won't tell you anything else about it. :)

Yay! I like surprises and Miyazaki's personal touch is never a bad thing in my eyes.

I'm glad they're getting someone else to do young Sophie--it threw me when she used her old-lady voice, although I understand this is a part of her character.
