I got one hit in Spanish, but I could tell the writer was referencing a Stephanie Meyer book, rather than using a character named Stephanie.

Doing this always makes me really sad. My name is extremely unusual, but is the name of a country in one fandom and some kind of creature in another, so it does pop up. But the other five or so are always CLEARLY Mary Sues written by girls who actually have my name, and it reminds me of writing horrible self-insert fic at 16 and I can't stop cringing.

I'd never have used my name in self-insert fanfic at 16 because I hated it. :D Now I don't hate it, but it's still way too popular among my age cohort for my taste.

I should probably add for the benefit of people who don't know me that I am an American Jew myself (though not in Gryffindor). What I found hilarious about that one was not the Jewishness, but the Mary-Sue-ness. It would have also been hilarious if "The Southern Baptist in Gryffindor" wrote a story about a southern baptist in Gryffindor.
