Muahahaha this heart rate monitor (HRM) is awesome. XD I put it on to see if CalorieKing was correct in the number of calories/hour it assigns to housecleaning*, and found out that I burn more. Well, when I'm wearing the HRM, that is: it beeps when your heart rate drops below the target zone, and it's annoying enough that I found myself bouncing or something just to STOP THAT BEEPING, and thus managed to break a sweat while cleaning. XD

The big question being: how long will this keep its value as a new shiny toy, and what will I ahve to do next to keep my distractible brain entertained? :D

* They carefully point out, hidden in the depths of the documentation for the site, that normal, daily housecleaning doesn't count because that's part of your normal activity level, just stuff you don't do on a daily basis.

I discovered today that while taking out the trash *is* an aerobic activity, doing the dishes is not unless you bounce up and down or make grand, sweeping gestures with the sponge.

Not that I couldn't have figured that out on my own. But I have a MACHINE that TELLS ME now!

what is this thing, "normal, daily housecleaning" of which they speak?

People do daily housecleaning? Hmmmm, interesting.

There are people out there who actually engage in that sort of thing. *shudder*

You may have mentioned previously, but I'm catching of on my F-list and haven't seen it yet mentioned: What HRM did you get? I ask, since I bought a Polar F6 HRM about three weeks ago.

Polar F4, because that's what Target had with the chest strap. :)
