aaargh!

Is anyone else having the problem of Firefox logging you out of LJ each and every damn time you close it down? It's doing it to Journalfen and InsaneJournal also. I'm on Firefox 2.0.0.7, and have done some websearching and searching of the Firefox support forums to no avail.

Basically, it's completely ignoring the cookies that LJ, JF, and IJ set, which annoys the hell out of me because it means my hard drive is littered with cookies from these three sites for every single damn day I have to do this.

I was having that problem a few weeks ago, but I updated my Firefox and that took care of it.

I am using the most recent version. I'm about to attempt to go back a version or two, because this is driving me nuts.

It does that for me on JF but not on LJ or IJ. No idea what that means!

It started doing it on JF after they did their upgrades.

firefox problem

i'm on 2.0.0.7 as well (on a mac) and it's leaving me nicely logged into LJ. i've never tried it on journalfen, i should do that to see.

it does, however, do something very weird when i am previewing posts and i am logged in to a different LJ account in opera (my main browser; i generally use firefox for sites that work crappy in opera). it previews posts as if i were logged into the opera account, complete with style and everything (it does post to the right journal, but the first time this threw me for a loop). not that this matters to your problem, but where there's one weird thing there are sometimes others, and this might also be cookie-related.

Wow, that is truly weird.

Yup.

Yeah, it does if I close it. XD (the nice thing about Macs...I only ever accidentally close Firefox completely.)

I'm on FF 2.0.0.7 too, but no problems. Don't have a JF or IJ though, only LJ.

Check your privacy settings? It could be set to clear that data on shutdown.

It's not clearing the settings. The cookies are still there, still active.
