I guess I'm officially a blogger if someone calls me one. Attempting to adjust to the new identity.

On the plate today: doctor visit to get refill of migraine meds (DESPERATELY NEEDED; I've had this headache since Sunday morning), then to dive into the morass of library website usability studies in order to come up with the outlines for one, and then a conference call of some ilk. Here's hoping the drugs kick in shortly after I get them; usability studies always give me a headache.

*uses Manji icon because the ice-pick-through-the-head feels appropriate*

It's not one of the really bad ones, it's just a nagging one. And the anti-inflammatory the doc prescribed for my back seems to actually be affecting it somewhat, so I'm holding off on the migraine stuff until it decides it really doesn't want to obey the anti-inflammatory stuff. Whee.

Ick. I take Relpax, which makes me slightly goofy for a few hours after taking it, but the SHEER RELIEF they give is so worth it. Most of my migraines tend to masquerade as regular bad headaches, not the oh-god-i'm-going-to-die ones that I have on occasion, and I can't tell they're a migraine until I take OTC drugs and wait a couple of hours and it doesn't get any better. And then it usually takes two hours for the Relpax to kick in but when it does ... bliss.

I've had a couple last for a week, but those weren't horrid headaches, just bad ones. The longest one of the really really bad ones lasted a bit over two days, and it 3as making me so sick to my stomach I didn't realize until the second day that the headache was causing the nausea, and not the other way around. :) But that was before my happy pills.
