Flew from Narita to LA, then had my plane to DFW delayed by 2 hours. Then inexplicably threw up on plane (I wasn't feeling sick at all, just was about to leave the restroom, thought "Whoa, I've gotta throw up!" and did so, then returned to seat still feeling not at all ill. Well, except for the cold. Weird). Finally got home, discovered cat had thrown up on computer chair but seemingly nowhere else, and that cable box had turned itself off sometime in the past week so an unknown number of programs got recorded as nothing but dead air.

Cat very loving and attentive towards me. Even tolerated being picked up for thirty seconds - twenty-five seconds longer than usual. This state of affairs will last for three days, and then she will completely forget I ever left and return to her normal self.

Bad news: I think the camera's dead enough that it may hav corrupted most, if not all, of the pictures I took in Japan. Will attempt to find someone or someplace where I can get it fixed and get the data taken off the cards and burned to CD, in case some are salvageable. You all need to go harass rachelmanija to get her film developed, as it may be the record of our trip.

Hope you feel better! I've done the sudden-throwing-up-and-then-immediately-feeling-better thing too. Dunno what causes it. Are you at all prone to motion sickness? Maybe it was just a side-effect of the cold. Anyway, I'm glad you were in the restroom when it happened!

I'm prone to motion sickness, but not on planes or cars. It may have been a combination of postnasal drip and just sheer disgust at being in an overused airplane bathroom - the other bathroom at the back of the plane was broken, so it got twice as much use as it usually gets during a flight.

I was more annoyed at having wasted $5 on the sandwich I bought for lunch. XD

Thanks, I may have to try that. Right now, I can't get my computer to recognize my camera when it's plugged in, so I can't get th data off that way, but a quick pricing of SD card readers shows that they're, like, $20, so it's probably worth it for me to head to Best Buy or something similar and grab one to attack the cards with. :)
