My head hurts and I'd like to go home, but I can't, thanks to having work I have to clear out before my trip. WHINE.
Someone post Bleach stuff. I'm still obsessing over that. (I'm in that lovely first few weeks of the relationship when you're head-over-heels with the object of your affection, before the shiny wears off and you start getting irritated at the little quirks that used to charm you.)

There are still episodes that feel to me like filler episodes. Maybe they are in the manga, too, but it sure seems to me like random stuff added for the anime to help keep it from outpacing the manga.

Episode 119 was 98% filler, but I really enjoyed it, because it went in-depth into Madarame's character and the 11th Division's history. It's the type of filler that's worth doing, because it's done right, not affecting the plot but instead picking some aspect of the story and going into its background in detail, where there was only time in the manga to hint at it. The episode in the Soul Society arc that played on Adult Swim last Saturday was also a case in point: it allowed for time to go into Renji, Kira, and Hinamori's background at the Academy and show their relationship, which made events in prior episodes that much more poignant.

Hm. I guess one recent Kon-centric episode might have told us things we didn't know before about him (although I am dubious about that), but since the anime seems to think he is a lot cuter and funnier than I do, it still felt like filler to me.
