A few more things I have learned from watching the dire Bount arc of Bleach...

In the middle of a fight, when the stronger fighter screams at you to run away so you don't get hurt, it'll be better all around if you just stand there and gape for a while. They didn't really mean it. Especially if they told you to grab the helpless civilian bystander and get them out of there.

No matter how many times I see it, a giant waterfall of deadly cherry blossoms will never not be funny.

Your siege engines should always be more well-designed than your plots. Even when you have it built so that the friction of the rope around the wooden spindle will probably cause it to catch fire the way you're using it.

Strategy is for wusses.

Heh. Yes, indeed. Fiction uses insanity to its advantage. At least the characters are designed well. I think it's a challenge to write manga for a zine like SJ. After it's published, that's it. No changing your mind about how you've executed your story. No editing. (Technically, you could for the tankoban release, but who has that kind of time?) Oh, and I hope you don't mind me friending you. Your journal amuses me.

Right now, I'm watching the filler season in the anime, which wasn't written by Kubo Tite and shows it - it's like fanfic written by someone who merely read the Wikipedia entry on Bleach instead of reading the manga or watching the first two story arcs. XD Dire indeed, and I'm mostly watching it for completeness' sake.

And friend away! *waves* :D

Oh, Lord. Why on Earth are you watching filler? (I know completeness can be a tantalizing thing, but ugh. *laughs*) At least the Bleach filler I saw didn't touch the awfulness that was Naruto filler. I skipped them, though. x3

VALUABLE PROCRASTINATION TIME! And I've also been known to watch bad anime (or subs) so you don't have to (http://telophase.livejournal.com/tag/engrish).

Nah, I'm currently in the grip of a Bleach fixation, and anything is good. Or, er, not actively bad. One thing I do like is getting more images of Seireitei and Rukongai - in the Soul Society arc, the Seireitei is nothign but a giant grid, if you look closely at it. Makes it much quicker to draw, when you're pumping out 15+ pages a week, but for someone like me who ends up wanting to know more about the area, the boring, repetitive visuals drive me nuts.

I've been recently playing about with a character not unlike Chow Yun-Fat in Bulletproof Monk. He's got a Glock that he's inordinately fond of. He's named it (unsurprisingly) Cherry Blossom.
