Decided to watch one of my Netflix movies while I worked out exactly what I wanted to do. Well, for values of "watch" that include "fall asleep ten minutes into," I suspect. I've got a Thai horror film, a Thai film about a male GLBT volleyball team, and a documentary on magic by Penn & Teller. THE INTERNETS MUST SPEAK. and be totally ignored

(As I recall, the opening credits are chaotic and do not reflect the goodness of the film -- so ignore them)

PS. You got your itinerary/e-ticket info from the travel agent, right?

Did you ever watch the short-lived series American Gothic? I remember watching a couple of episodes and liking it, and put it on the Netflix list when I discovered they were on DVD. I could push them up the queue if you didn't see it and are interested.

Must remember to bring Eerie, Indiana. I need to push it on more people.

Someone sent me (maybe even anonymously) a DVD with episodes of Avatar burned on it, but I've lost it, hence why it's on my Netflix queue. If I find it before I get to that point in the queue, I'll even start watching it earlier.
My TiVo is convinced I'll love it, and keeps catching it. I MUST OBEY THE TIVO.

More Thai films, for whatever reason
Mysterious Object at Noon (http://www.netflix.com/Movie/Mysterious_Object_at_Noon/60027875?trkid=204759) sounds surreal and potentially good.

And I'm voting Iron Ladies without clicking a single link, because. Iron Ladies.

Kyo spells his name with the kanji for "badass mofo"
KYO: RAWR! Worthless minions, I'll bite this baby's head off and use its bones to spike out your eyes!
KYO'S MINIONS: Awww, Kyo's saving that baby from a sad life of peasantry! That old softie, he loves us really!
OH KYO'S MINIONS. I need to go read the whole thing at Borders again. The first time I mainlined it I was taking Intro to Japanese History and we were in the middle of the Tokugawa Era, which makes the whole thing TWICE AS BEAUTIFUL. (Manga on the right side, textbook on the left, alcohol all round.)
I think I made some tagged posts on it, but maybe more about the scanslations. Has anyone ever counted which fight stretched fewer hours over more volumes, [general-ish Naruto & SDK spoilers?] the Battle to Rescue Sasuke!!! or the Battle to Rescue Yuya!!!? [/spoil]
Off that tangent, hands-down-favorite-random-scene [too vague/lazy to spoilerhide], the random French farce when Banri & Co. trip over Hotaru post-battle-coital conked out. I laughed til I coughed.

I think it was Oda Nobunaga: Demon Lord that finally tipped me in favor of the CRACK. And speaking of which, I think you missed my POLL OF ULTIMATE CRACK (http://telophase.livejournal.com/912645.html) in which I challenge people to ID anime and manga based on the crackalicious parts. Answers here (http://telophase.livejournal.com/913062.html).
Space cadet Hotaru is my current favorite character. XD
