Because
yhlee apologized for not having any cute photos of a list of things, including bearded dragons, I realized that about half of you on my friends list haven't seen this, which is my photo of a bearded dragon from last summer, when I was volunteering at the Dallas Museum of Natural History.

That's Brian, the assistant curator, who seizes any excuse to take Lisa, the Australian bearded dragon there, out of her cage/aquarium/whatever it is and play with her. This time, he took her out and she immediately climbed up his vest, stuck her nose in his ear, and stayed there. Brian wandered around to a couple of different offices to show people, and she didn't move a muscle.

This reminds me of when I used to catch hornytoads in the grass when I was little; if you were gentle, they would let you stroke their tummies (which were very soft). Now I have to find my pewter hornytoad figure wherever it is in the room and pet it.
