Things I have learned from reading a lot of Bleach fanfic...

...no matter how much I say that I will accept any pairing if it's well-written, I don't think it's possible in any way, shape, or form to write well enough to excuse Kenpachi/Byakuya.

People write that pairing seriously? I've only ever read [livejournal.com profile] peroxide_fic's stories for that pairing and those, like the bulk of her work, are very deliberate crack fics. (Though I will admit I like the way she writes the 11th Division thugs -- personality wise, anyway -- overall.)
