Do not scream "IT'S OVER!!" at your enemy in the middle of a fight because it never is, and you end up looking a right prat.

I think one of the main reasons shonen fights last so long is that when you have to crank out 15-25 pages of manga a week, plus color pages for this and designs for that and sketches for the other, you find that fights allow you to skip drawing backgrounds and instead just have your assistants put in random speedlines and explosions and large sound effects.

(You notice that Soul Society is essentially a large grid? Easy to draw!)
