Heee

I've spent most of the day constantly checking the Technorati and Google's Blog Beta search for zanpakuto meme links, and what I'm mostly surprised at is that people don't seem to have as twisted a mind as I do. They post it in their blogs and add something laughing about how their zanpakuto has such a useless power, and in nine out of ten cases, it was one I thought was evilly lethal.

Examples:

...and narrows the focus of the wielder, minimizing the impact of distractions.

Speaking as someone who has focus problems: You want this. Trust me.

...it produces a blinding flash of light.

If you can't turn this to your advantage, you totally shouldn't have graduated from Soul Reaper Academy.

It produces bursts of low-frequency sound that causes air to vibrate out of the opponent's lungs.

Dude! Think for half a second! Your opponent cannot breathe in for as long as you have this shikai invoked! I ought to ahve put a limitation on that, really: you can only hold it for twenty seconds at a time or something.

It produces pulses of ultrasound that liquify small areas of biological cells.

Man, this one's the evillest one of all. OK, sure, maybe you can only liquify, say, a one-centimeter radius. But what if that one-centimeter radius included someone's aorta? Or retina? Or eardrum? Or a blood vessel in the brain? Deadly, I tell ya.

Or maybe I just have a lethal mind? I could probably come up with a killing method for a spork.

(I think it was [livejournal.com profile] rayechu who ended up with a weapon called "Thunder like Snow" that sent out pulses of infrasound to freak out enemies. That's totally my zanpakuto, and I envision the pulses going out in the rhythm of the drums that were in the last three episodes of Doctor Who this season. :)

ETA: P.S. The other ones I'm all "Bzuh?" about are the ones who complain that they got a sucky zanpakuto. I wonder if they realize you can just reload the thing until you get one you like?

Hee!

I'm planning to post a Zanpaktuto but probably on Monday because more people read my flist during the week. ;-)

:D I was thinking of posting another one on Monday morning, just 'cause that's the busiest day on my f-list, too. XD

Meme-ing is all about strategy, apparently. ;-)

Almost forgot - can I plug this at Seventh Sanctum and link from my items section?

Sure! Thanks! :D

Yep, that was me. And I thought it was a pretty damn cool one too. Actually a majority of the things I generated were very useful. I pointed my DM toward the generator because my D&D character needs a newer cooler weapon.

Pffft. Some people just don't think about the logistics of these things, I guess. Of course, I'm the sort of person who spends the whole of action/martial arts movies telling the unfortunate person who's watching it with me what I would do in the situation the movie presents and why the heros of the movie are Doing It Wrong. XD Of course a spork can be a deadly people. The people who think otherwise just aren't being creative enough!

Wow, if that doesn't suit a member of the 12th Division, I don't know what does.
