dragonscholar and I are having way too much fun coming up with silly zanpakuto ideas in my previous post. If you have any ideas, let me know: once I get the serious one hammered out, I'm going to make a silly one. :)

I don't know what this "bleach" thing is, so maybe these will be oddly confused and nonsensical. But I won't let that stop me from trying to come up with a few. :)

This zanpakuto, named Fred, transforms into a middle-aged balding philatelist at the command "Hey, is that a Treskilling Yellow?"

When this zanpakuto is unsealed with the command "Display!" it transforms into a tasteful arrangement of Blue Ridge China.

Unseal this zanpakuto with the command "Mello, don't scratch that!" It then sits on your keyboard and sulks dangerously.

Careless Whisper is always activated, but being guilty it will not dance and has no rythym.

When Origami Lotus of a Million Pains is unsealed it can give your enemy a nasty paper cut.

The Sticking Scissors of Doom are always activated, and they can pinch the crap out of you.

I have a general question. Are these things always "unleashed" by saying a key phrase? Or are they sometimes activated by other things? Like being activated by doing a waltz, or dunking it in lemon juice, that sort of thing.

Just curious.

As far as I know - keeping in mind that I've only read the English-language releases of the manga and only as much of the Wikipedia entries as don't contain spoilers for the two most recent story arcs - they take a key phrase.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zanpakuto is the Wikipedia entry on them - the Arrancar release and Arrancar characters stuff is from the story arcs I haven't read yet, so I've skipped reading those sections. There's descriptions of the known zanpakuto in the "Zanpakuto by character" section. - I've only read the Shinigami section. :)

When the words "Expectorate, Weevil Panties" are belched, this zanpakuto activates. At the same time, your telephone bill will be paid.

Actually, I have my goofy/silly generators. Let me know if you want the "goofy" data for this.

Also, I want to yell "Expectorate, Weevil Panties" now. Because.

At the command "Whine, Fluffy Pink Spork!" this zanpakuto explodes.

When you yell "Wind me up!" Expectant Snowman steals cable from your neighbors.

Sure, why not. The more, the merrier. :D

I think this world would be a lot more liveable if everyone just yelled "Expectorate, Weevil Panties!" every now and then.

Weevil Panties is now my OFFICIAL Comedy Zanpakuto.

And I don't even watch Bleach.

And it's fun!

Remind me when you work on the comedy generator I'll carve out the Funny Words sections of some of the appropriate generators and send them to you.

And you realize that, sadly, this could be more popular than the SANE Zanpakuto generator.

I think I like Flaming Spatula. And, yeah, I suspect it'll be far more popular than the other one ever will be. XD But I think it, too, calls for some sort of an art contest, because I'd love to see pictures of Soul Reapers with their silly zanpakutos. XD

Oh definitely go for it. My Silly Season contest went quite well - and this stuff can be very inspiring.

At this rate you'll be doing contests as often as I do. Welcome to the club . . . (and when you do them, I'll promote them, unless its the adult generator - my site does kind of pitch to PG-13).

* I just tweaked the generator to add, occasionally, that a zanpakuto has a form it's sealed into. Some of the Soul Reapers in Bleach carry theirs, when they're sealed, in the form of a cane or something like that, and it was a simple addition. :)
