I'm bored!

And have an hour at the ref desk to kill! Have been considering doing another generator, but am out of ideas. [livejournal.com profile] dragonscholar's List o'Generators that he's been asked to make isn't inspiring because for the most part they're objects instead of stories, if that makes sense. and if anyone knows how to integrate a PHP script like the generator into Wordpress in a way that actually works, then let me know, 'cause I'd love to be able to integrate it with my overall magatsu.net site.

A long time ago, didn't you post a nifty art challenge with numbered prompts? That'd be neat.

Randomly generated art prompts? Could be interesting...

I've been using the generators a long time for art exercises. Random art prompts would be an awesome tool!

I'm starting to think on it, and trying to generate a list of sample prompts from which I can distill rules for the generator. I'm leaning towards giving people the choice for a Simple or Elaborate prompts, because it seems that lots of people work well (in fic or art) with one- or two-word prompts (Taboo. Years. Blue.), but I work much better with something that's much more elaborate ("What we do not regret. Blue, melancholy." "The forest at noon. Happy." "The time when we cannot meet. Mask. Wind.").

Mind you, coming up with sample prompts is damn hard. I think it ought to be in a form something like:

The picture is mostly green and features two characters in elaborate clothing. Elements include a mask and wind. "The time when we cannot meet."

* I think I'll make a post asking for suggestions. :)

I bet he's part of the same crime family as your little evil squirrel. The prairie dog father.
