Arg, dammit, I've got the itches. Usually happens in the winter, when the humidity is low and my skin dries out and itches all over, but it's 81% humidity here right now, so I don't know what's up with that. :/
Oh yuck. I hate that. Could it be pollen sticking to your skin? I dunno about your area but we've had terrible bugs this spring--ooodles more chiggers than usual, sand fleas, the lot, more and earlier than usual.
Dunno. I took a shower, and it was still itchy but eventually settled down. And then after it settled down and I *noticed* it settled down, the cat jumped on my (jeans-clad) leg and started that leg itching again. :P
I've got a couple of bites that I think were from a flea at my mom's house (her cat goes outside - she's on the Program flea thing, but there's always one flea on her), but the overall itching didn't start until yesterday.
* There's a colony of mosquitos outside my front door that I'm going to complain about soon, and there's chiggers at my mom's house, but the bites aren't behaving like mosquitos or chiggers, and *are* behaving like flea bites, so that's my hypothesis. I'm a bit annoyed at the idea that I might have brought fleas home to my non-outdoor cat.
Yeah, my big Pookie bear is very sensitive to fleas. My vet has me give me him benadryl--she says it's an allergic reaction. Maybe it'd work for you? The cream would probably be worth a shot anyway.

According to my vet, flea bites can remain itchy for up to a week, even if the fleas themselves have croaked.
If it's early days, you may want to get some of the stuff for your cat. i had a visiting dog infest my home once and brought them. gaaaaaah

I think I'm over-allergic to fleas or something, because they seem to have much more of an effect on me than others.
