1. Just watched this week's Doctor Who. HOSHITOMGAAAAAGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

2. And next week: Derek Jacobi! Squee!

3. There's a floater in my right eye driving me nuts. If it doesn't go away in a few days, I'll get it checked out just to make sure it's not OMG DETACHED RETINA, but it's most likely just a normal random floater. But it likes to sit in the front of my eye when I'm looking at a white screen, which is when it's noticeable, and pretend like it's an out-of-focus fly on the monitor. Luckily, it's only noticeable when I'm looking at a white screen. Unluckily, due to the nature of my job, I'm looking at a white screen most of the day. (and considering that it's been there several days and there's no loss of vision, it's most likely not a detached retina. :D)

Wasn't it great? I was really worried that it would be a dud after the last two episodes, but it was tight, funny and scary enough to have me hiding behind the sofa in traditional fashion. I suspoect there are a lot of traumatized small children out there who will have to be talked past statues in the street for the rest of their lives. I'm heading towards Trafalgar Square today, and I'll be keeping a close eye on Nelson and those lions.

One of my enduring memories from my curatorial assistant days was being back in the collections area doing inventory, and talking with my coworker about how creepy it was to look at a shelf and see something there that you could have sworn was not there previously. That was immediately after we both saw a small African statuette/figurine on the top of a shelving unit that neither of us remembered being there.

That sort of thing happened all the time.

Ah-ha! I knew there was something I was meant to be downloading. I take it that it was a good episode? :)

It feels strange downloading something I could just watch on tv if I wasn't so lazy to walk downstairs and negotiate for tv viewing rights.
