At the beginning of the year I had 8 pairs of scissors throughout the house. By the middle of last month I only had one pair. They're slowly returning from vacation, though, and turning up in the oddest places (that box in the closet that hasn't been opened in four years, under the bathroom sink, inside the fireplace, etc).
