AAAGH I CAN'T DECIDE!

I've got four options for this picture, and I can't decide which one I like best. So I ask the intarwebs.

You can answer the poll way into the night if you want; I'm going to go eat dinner, then come back and see what the answer is at that point. :)

OPTION 1

OPTION 2

OPTION 3

OPTION 4

[Poll #991004]

I think that which one works best depends on what you're trying to do. The two with the eyes in the lower section look (to me) like the kid is either planning a grab or studying goodies that are beyond reach. The two with the eyes in the upper section both look as if the kid's looking at something off-screen, possibly something worrying.

Agree. 1 or 4 if your intent is that the kid is looking at/thinking about the food.

I actually could go for either 2 or 4. I think 2 suits him better, but 4 works really well with both the viewer and the environment.

I think you should animate the four options together in a loop. :3

I second this motion.

2 and 4 are best, I think. I prefer 4, personally, because as [livejournal.com profile] mscongeniality said, I think it works best for the viewer.

And I'll tell you why! When his eyes are to the lower left, because of the angle, you can't be sure whether he's looking specifically at the pastries or just staring straight ahead. On the other hand, when his eyes are to the upper right, this is an extreme eye position -- most people would just turn their heads rather than look half-backwards like that -- so it ends up looking like he's rolling his eyes.

Then, it's between 2 and 4. L looking up is precious and all but I prefer 4 because it almost looks like he started to walk past the display, but was pulled up short by a particularly delicious-looking cake.

This picture is cuuuuuute no matter what though. XD

Lower right pops the most to me. It feels to me like the moment right before he snatches something and scampers off (I don't know if L scampers, but it seems like he would).

No matter where he's looking, though, this pic is super cute.
