Back on the bike again, since this week has been incredibly spotty. 20 min, 3.4 mi. 388.1 total. Wow, this was a busy day on the trail to Rivendell. Easeir to quote:

386: Rain stops. Strider scouts. Start late. Turn SE, scrambling over rocky ground. Find a valley, but it ends in a high ridge. Climb ridge and camp in a saddle at top. COLD. Build a fire under a gnarled pine.

387: Slope beyond ridge is much easier. Bright, fair day. Strider briefly sees the Loudwater/Bruinen in the distance.

It'll probably be after A-Kon when I get back to the every-day thing again. And if I don't, you guys' job is to remind me. :)

Hey, when's that Con in SA? I think you said June?

Just a heads-up, I have a festival June 8-10 and a martial arts competition on June 2.

Arg, I keep forgetting to post - the con got postponed until next summer. Apparently they oversold the capacity of the function space, and that plus hotel weirdness made them decide to find another venue and the earliest one was available was next summer.

Mind you, did they bother to tell any of the panelists? The way I found out was to go to their website a couple of weeks ago to check the dates. :/
