Real Wrath o'God type weather happening here. If I don't reply to anyone who is waiting for a reply, it's 'cause my net or power is knocked out. The cable's gone at the moment, and my phone can't get a line out. :)
The tornado sirens are going off now. :) The suspected tornado is a little north of me and traveling north, so this area should be fine. Well, unless we get the TENNIS BALL SIZED HAIL they reported in Saginaw. XD
I just shut the window on the cat because the rain just started, and she's grumpy at me because she was interested in it. XD
YEAH. I'm in Saginaw. The sirens went off and we took cover in the laundry room. Fortunately I'd stocked cushions and diaper bag and STUFF in there earlier. Karl was most of the way home when I got him on the phone, he had to drive through some of the hail. We'll be replacing the car's windshield...
The worst of it seems to be past us now, but we'll be watching carefully. fordprfct just signed off due to a tornado in Dallas, he was being sent to the stairwell.
Ooooo, good luck! If we get a tornado through here, I'm heading to the bathroom with some pillows and my iPod, because it's the only room here without a window. Although the window in the living room is so small and the living room is so long that I could probably camp at the other end and be just fine.
The last time we had a huge hailstorm, about 3 or 4 years ago, my car's windows miraculously made it through, but I had to have the entire top half of the car replaced because of the dents.
Yeah, you guys are getting hit pretty damn hard. I'm out by Westlake and we just had it get dark and pour it's ass off but now it seemed to ease up a bit.
I'm just really happy it held off until now. The huge storms we had in ... January, was it? Anyway, I was over in the Central Market on Hulen, and walked out to hear the tornado sirens. :/ And had to drive home - at 45 mph - in really heavy storm. I live over on the city limit of Fort Worth, just off 30, barely outside the city limits of Arlington.
The tornado going on now is heading towards Hurst-Euless-Bedford, luckily for me.
Dunno if I posted this before (likely I have), but some experts think that consistent weather with reliable seasons is more of a fluke in terms of planetary weather than what we're experiencing now. Like all theories, take it with a grain of salt.
I'm so glad I live in my part of England. The worst weather I ever have to deal with is rain and on extremely rare moments snow and tiny not-even-really-bothering-me hail.
I'm told we do sometimes have tornados in this country, but most of them seem to be so pathetic and weedy that anyone outside the area doesn't even realise it's happened.

Stay safe...and don't let the cat open the window!
