My analysis posts are narrative analysis so I can't do this one. But I've been thinking about the uninformed statement that anime/manga characters look Caucasian rather than Asian. While I've seen a number of responses to this statement, I haven't seen anyone compare how manga artists portray Caucasian characters to how they portray Asian characters, and I think someone who knows the art should do it. For an example, Obata's caucasian characters have a distinctly different look from his Japanese characters in both Hikaru no Go and Death Note. But this is an analysis that needs an artist's eye rather than a writer's eye. Hence the commission. :-)
