For Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli fanboys and fangirls--

Porco Rosso, The Cat Returns, and the non-butchered version of Nausicca are all out on DVD now. If you buy all three, you can get a free copy of Spirited Away, Kiki's Delivery Service, or Castle in the Sky. I don't think that's a Best Buy-only deal.

Now if only Omoide Poroporo, Whispers of the Heart, My Neighbors the Yamadas, and Howl's Moving Castle were to come out on DVD over here I'd be a happy camper.

If it's made by Ghibli, it will eventually reach our shores thanks to that Disney distribution agreement. Sadly, there's no guarantee on *when* they will get over here.....

Must see Nausicaa someday. Ditto Kiki's Delivery Service, about which I have heard Teh Goodness.

I wasn't as affected by Nausicaa as others, although it was still very good. Kiki is a fun fluffy movie, with the proper touch of bittersweet. My favorites of all the above are Porco Rosso, Omoide Poroporo and Spirited Away. If it were possible to combine them all, you'd have the Ultimate telophase Movie.
