I was going to try and reply "thank you" to all of you who wished me a happy birthday or whatnot on my previous entry, but there's such a lot of you and I am lazy. So: Thank you! :D

And ... arg! ... the Borders I go to has sent me a 15% off coupon for my birthday and yet does not have Saiyuki Reload 6 or the light novel Chain Mail: Addicted to You, by Hiroshi Ishizaki, whose English adaptation is by [livejournal.com profile] rachelmanija.* Whine!

* So all of you rush out and buy it.

Happy birthday!

My new object of desire is Kurosagi Corpse Delivery Service, which seems to be out of stock everywhere.

Thank you!

I've wanted that, too, and volume 1 seems never to have been at any bookstore near me: I'm going to have to break down and order it. I ordered Kye Young Chon's Audition from DramaQueen when I ordered RUSH, after hearing good things about it. Haven't read it yet, and now that I have it, I think I heard better things about the same creator's DVD, so maybe it'll go on the order list, too.

I can't remember if I wished you a happy birthday or not, even though I totally meant to. If I didn't, then Happy Birthday. If I did...uhh...Happy Birthday, again!

so....'cording to Amazon, both of those aren't released till the 9th.....

will they let you use the coupon online at Borders.com? which incidentally if you didn't know is actually run by Amazon.

Street dates are very rarely adhered to when it comes to books - most stores just put them on the shelves as soon as they get them. :) The Barnes & Noble near work tends to get them earlier than the Borders does, but the Borders has a nifty online inventory thing that tells me if a particular store has any in stock. And despite it saying that both of them are in print, it says that the stores don't have them yet. Ah well.

Thanks!

Happy birthday!

I don't think Chain Mail is due out till Jan 9. I haven't seen it anywhere.

[livejournal.com profile] coffeeandink's got it, and release dates are viewed as things that happen to other people by most big box bookstores, who put 'em on the shelves as soon as they've got 'em. It tends, from my observations, to go in waves from East to West across the US, presumably as the distributors' trucks deliver them. Which I find a bit odd, as I think most of them tend to be printed in Asia, and thus should arrive on the West Coast first.

Thank you!
