Trying to set a .htaccess file in a directory to password-protect it, and all it does is make anyone going to a particular file in it redirect to the main page of the site, instead of popping up a form asking for a username/password. Or, if you do some back-formation and go to the directory itself, it lets people in to see what's in there. USEFUL, HUH?
