So I'm sitting up at the Reference desk for an hour this morning, starting my weekly rotation at the desk. I bring up two books on Javascript and the printouts of a couple of scripts I'm trying to beat into submission adapt to suit our purposes, because I've been bashing my head against one particular problem for two days now.

And now, ten minutes, into my stint, I think I solved it. Now what am I supposed to do with myself for the rest of the hour?

luckily I brought up the Death Note doujinshi script to start work on.

Or you could continue perfecting Jordan's hair and Rivas' shoulder tendons. I like what you're doing. Please keep doing it, and keep me posted with your latest scribbly things-- it will all be useful one way or another.

By the way, I meant to actually work last night but finally I couldn't take it any more and started reading Death Note, which I've been resisting because everyone says it's so addictive and I need to work, not sit for hours downloading manga. So I sat for hours downloading manga.

OMG MONKEY TOES!

:)

My work on the doujinshi got sidetracked anyway, because I"d managed to print out an earlier version of the script and OMG ONE OR TWO WORDS MIGHT NOT BE RIGHT HOW CAN I DIVIDE IT INTO PAGES AND PANELS AT THIS POINT, HUH? Not that I did anything useful but compulsively reload Gmail.

And another DN addict!! Lots of people say it bogs down a bit in the middle and picks up again later, but it reads to me like they weren't sure it was going to be picked up as a long-term series, so the writer was trying to keep her options open and write it so that the story could be wrapped up quickly, and then as soon as they got the word, then had to spend a few chapters throwing in more story to get it back up to speed.

And yes, OMG MONKEY TOES!
