Dinner

I'm not entirely sure what I'm making for dinner, other than "stuff in the freezer I need to get rid of." I had two packages of skinless, boneless chicken thighs, and two cups of frozen stock, so I'm basically making double stock - make stock using chicken stock for part of the water. Tossing in some carrots and onion and garlic since I had them. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do with the stock - I dislike chicken soup, BTW - since the point was to get rid of the chicken stock things in the freezer, instead of make more. O.o But the chicken will be cooked and lightly flavored, and I may make chicken salad out of it - I've got a package of slightly stale pita bread which should revive with a few seconds nuking with damp paper towels.

And then I've got jasmine rice which I haven't done anything with, so I'm making that. And there's frozen vegetables in the freezer, so I'll make some of them to add green stuff.

So .. each individually is good, but none of it really goes together. Hrm.

I know. I'm at 69% and it claims to be going fast enough to finish in an hour or so, but it keeps connecting to and disconnecting from the seeds, which is making me nervous. I'm hoping it only connects when it's downloading packets from them, not because my connection to them keeps breaking.

I've been consistently connected, but I'm still only at 89%, myself. Right now, I'm downloading at a blazing 15KB/s and figure it will grind to a halt at 98% finish after I go to bed so...no Captain Jack in a yummy greatcoat for me tonight. *woe*

I've already got mine set to seed indefinitely. I'm planning to seed it overnight and hope that the same poster has ep 02 up in the morning so I can grab that while I'm at work tomorrow.

I had no idea you liked Doctor Who as well. I hope Torchwood's nice, I'm going to wait until someone puts it up as a reg'lar file to download, since my university hates BitTorrent or something.

Speaking of downloaded stuff, did those DVDs get to you? I can't remember just now when I mailed them.

No, but the boy figured out they only blocked one port - other ports work just fine. So I'm downloading merrily until they start blocking me on all ports, at which point I'll go back to the other methods of getting files.
