A couple of things...

[livejournal.com profile] whatwasthatbook is addictive. I did find out the book I was looking for a few days ago - Miss Buncle's Book by D.E. Stevenson. (Yes, related to Robert Louis. :D) Anyway, I've been reading the community for a few days and what I have learned is that (a) I can recognize almost none of these books that people are looking for and (b) the ones I do recognize are recognized by almost everybody else and get about 5 answers saying the same thing. Oh, and (c) most of the books that people are looking for are ones they read as kids or teens and want to find again.

And (d) - that if you say that you read a book in 8th grade, it really helps to know whether you were in 8th grade in 1973, 1983, 1993, or 2003.

ETA: And it's really interesting to see the elements in books and stories that have stuck with people through the years.

And in other notes ... where is our Project Blue Rose crackfanfic and fan art?! YOU FAIL US.

I have a PBR question for you.
Joe's eyes are very sensitive to light, correct? But he doesn't like Kyle driving. So who drives at night? Or do they never drive at night? Or was this already answered and I just don't remember?

His eyes are sensitive enough that driving at night with sunglasses is perfectly ok. (I actually know someone with eyes that sensitive and yes, he does drive at night with sunglasses. XD It's possible.)

Ok. I was thinking of that too, but then was like...no. (My boyfriend once tried to drive in the dark with sunglasses and it was scary.)

Hee. :D Yeah, Rivas' eyes are sensitive enough that he can't see at all in bright light, so at night with sunglsses isn't a problem for him. :)

I hear ya on observation (d) on [livejournal.com profile] whatwasthatbook. I'm tired of asking people to clarify. And I'm also having problem (a).
