You know, I can't buy a simple bottle of water from our New! Improved! Expanded! cafe in the library. It's full of all sorts of drinks including canned coffee, and the water is all flavored or has additives to make it like a sports drink. I hate flavored waters, so I ended up with a bottle of Glacéau SmartWater, which is "electrolyte enhanced water" in case I feel an urge to do any endurance sports.

The bottle is huge - 33.8 ounces - but aesthetically it's a very nice design.

And depending on the design, SmartWater sometimes comes with a little scale on the side to indicate how much water you've had and how much 'smarer' you've gotten.

I thought it was cute.

I don't have a scale! I will have to remain ignorant of how much smarter I've gotten. ;_; The reverse side of the label has a goldfish printed on it, though.

I don't think they do that anymore actually.... we carry it at work, and I haven't seen the nifty little scale in a while...maybe it's just in the sizes we carry.... *shrug*

I think you should see if the SmartWater is smart enough to do your job. Then you could let it work while you draw pretty boyz for us to oggle.

SmartWater's not too bad. I used to drink it, before I realized it was almost a dollar more expensive than the Dasani at the building snackmart. In the esoteric field of bottled water "taste," I found it to be tastier than some of the others. Dasani works just as well, I think.

If I could get any other kind of nonflavored water other than the water fountains here, I would.

I'd bring my own, but I like it cold and anything left in the fridge in the break room here tends to vanish.

Heh. Makes me think of the Mos Def song "New World Water". Seems like it's message is getting closers and closer to being realized everyday. I never imagined I would ever pay $5 for a bottle of water afterall @_@.

Yup. :) I'm not sure what this is priced as - yesterday they charged me $2 for it and I almsot had a heart attack (before realizing it was almost twice as big as regular water bottles), but today I got charged $1.99 for a bottle of the water and an apple. I'll have to see what it costs next time I buy it.

At Anime Expo this year, I was not smart enough to go someplace other than the hotel to buy water until the last day, so I got COMPLETELY HOSED (to borrow a phrase from Stephen Asprinio). Despite being the most tasty, Smart Water was the cheapest water they had (I don't remember how much it was, though. I seem to have repressed that painful memory)! So after drinking the smart water all the through the con, I was finally smart enough to go to 7-11 and find that the water there was like $1 per gallon or something. D'oh! I should have drank the smart water BEFORE that trip! The hotel also had, uh, Fiji water, which is absolutely the most delicious water in the universe but is also very expensive.

I've started buying water at Kroger for $3 a case (24 bottles, 500ml each) and taking 4 to work with me every day in a grocery bag. Cheaper than paying $1 for a 591ml bottle of Dasani from the vending machine.

My biggest problem with that is that I want it cold, and room-temperaure water just doesn't get drunk when there's refrigerated water a floor above me. *whine* *moan* *complain* And so far have not decided to plump down the money for one of the ThinkGeek fridgethings.

I'm exactly the opposite. I can't drink cold water very well. I prefer my water to be room temperature. When I buy a cas eof water I just set it on top of the microwave and grab a bottle when I'm thirsty. I also leave the Brita pitcher sitting on the counter beside the sink.

I like my drinks to be either hot or cold - warm doens't cut it for me. Just one of my quirks, along with having issues with combining textures - I don't like nuts in brownies or ice cream, because I don't like combining those textures. XD
