Saiyuki Reload 5

After getting about 4 hours of sleep last night due to coughing, it was time to phone the doctor and go in and get my every-other-year nonworking dose of codeine cough syrup. (It never works. But I live in hope.) She also gave me this pill that looks like a vitamin E capsule for the daytime - it's a non-narcotic cough suppressant for the day. I can't say that it's stopped my coughs altogehter, but so far I haven't had any of those coughing-horribly-and-can't-stop jags, so maybe it's at least somewhat effective. (It's benzonatate, if anyone's interested.*)

Anyway, if I leave work in the morning and try to go back before noon, I can't find a parking place, so I dropped by the bookstore and picked up Dramacon 2 and Saiyuki Realod 5, then ate lunch and read SR. Loved it, as always, especially Minekura's taking the time out to put in funny character business, and the whole Sanzo/Hazel rivalry.

And ... Zakuro, Zakuro, Zakuro. You are just so manic and so, so, ineffective. I think I love you.

Heck if I know - my Borders is usually the last to get any new releases. :D (Dramacon was on an end cap and not on the regular shelf, FWIW.)

RAWR!!! Another reason I am NOT digging Eugene...dammit! Freaking Borders STILL doesn't have my Reload 5!!! *wheezecough* Sorry. Ordered it two weeks ago and they said it should have been in already, but it hasn't. (They also told me that they already had their shipment on the way two weeks ago.... yeah....)

I will be banging down the door of Borders tomorrow. I need my fix.

*coughradiofreebanricough* Follow the rules on the info page and within a day or two you, too, can get the raw pages each month as they're released. With occasional translations in the comments, but I decided not to bother with those. :D

According to greenapple2004, the big cliffhanger will come between volumes 6 and 7 ... and it's probably gonna be a long wait between 6 and 7. XD
