Heroes

I ahve now watched the first episode of Heroes, although I have not seen the second so NO SPOIL ME OR I KEEL YOU.

Interesting, not immediately captivating, but I've heard good things about ep 2, so I'll keep watching for a bit although I so do not need another show to watch especially on Monday nights when I need to be writing Tokyopop columns instead.

I have to say, though, that I am sick to death of hookers strippers webcam girls with hearts of gold. It is, however, the otaku (Hiro? Was that his name?) and the Indian professor/cabdriver Miforgothisname Suresh that will keep me watching. The rest of the characters sort of slid off me.

I have, er, obtained ep 2 and will probably watch it Wednesday night.

Yeah, it's not the greatest...but somehow I'm still entertained. ^_^ Also, the Indian professor (man...the only person's name I know is Hiro's, just because it's such an awful pun. And he's an otaku, which is kinda hilarious) is...really hot. Yes.

Hiro is amazing! XD; And uh, the rest of the cast amused me, too. Episode 2 was better. ♥

I blogged ep 2 while watching it. I too am really only interested in Hiro the teleporter and the Indian professor (Mohinder?) plus the regenerating cheerleader, and am annoyed that a) there are about seven major male characters and only two female, and b) one of the females is a stripper. I am still not sure what the stripper's power is. Could you tell? I think she has an evil hand reflection.

Yeah, I think it's an evil reflection. Unless it turns out to be an alternate personality where she goes unconscious and the alternat personality takes over. The regenerating cheerleader so far only interests me because of who her father is.

I can't sleep because of coughing, so I emailed to work and said I was taking tomorrow off too, and now I'm watching ep 2 until the drugs kick in or I fall asleep from sheer exhaustion. I'm all of three and a half minutes in, though, and there's no telling if I'll stay awake through the whole thing. Will read your entry when I do finally finish it.

The Indian professor just came on in ep 2 and his name is indeed Mohinder. I'm mostly writing this so I can remember it.

I, too am watching primarily for Hiro and Mohinder. Mostly Hiro, though.

I got the distinct feeling that Mirror Girl (whose name escapes me) is not a stripper voluntarily, but is doing the webcam thing because it's extremely fast cash. I think they say she's a dealer at one of the casinos in the first episode.

Personally, I think her thing is somewhere between a second personality/fugue state and a second self that can manifest when necessary. Some of the things that happen in the second episode should take longer than the duration of her blackout.

The point is not that she's doing it involuntarily, it's that she's doing it at all.

I think her name is Niki.

And Nikki is such a fucking stripper name. Man. Seriously, it has such skanky overtones to me for some reason :)

Hiro makes me happy. I adore him.
