I return!

I return from Houston! Barely! Left there aobut 3PM, realized an hour into the journey that I was veeeery sleepy, and as I was soon to be driving through the city my mother lives in, pulled over there for an hour of tea and conversation to wake me up and break up the trip, then continued on. Was getting dangerously low again but the Starbucks in Hillsboro and a very large cup of Awake! tea did the trick and got me home in the last 45-minute stretch.

Met rachel_renee and her kids for lunch on Friday. On Saturday, went to the Houston Museum of Natural Science with Toby, then we caught Fearless at the Alamo Drafthouse, which is a theatre were you can order a meal and eat while watching your movie, with friends, then hung out and talked in an ice-cream parlor until the clerk chased us out with the flimsy excuse that they were closed. Then went back to Toby's and watched episodes of House season 2 until we crashed.

There was a notice from the post office on my door saying that a package from the Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab was awaiting me in the post office, which I suspect is the big order for the decant circle: will pick it up tomorrow after work.

And now, in the words of Samuel Pepys, to bed.

Heh! Another Pepys fan. That guy was such a hoot. I always felt kind of sorry for him... he obviously loved his wife, but he just couldn't resist the charms of "the girl". At least he was polite enough to switch to bad Portuguese when he described his dalliances. I <3 Pepys...
