Ninja Turtles

via [livejournal.com profile] mistressrenet - a Japanese fanart of the Ninja Turtles that reimagines them in a totally different way. (And the commentors think the turtles all play different traditional social roles and are trying to pin down what Michelangelo is supposed to be.)

Those guys are allowed to act a lot goofier than the traditional ideas of the samurai and ninja. I think they're considered less civilized. (Benkei (the mythological version, anyway) was pretty badly-behaved.) So, I guess it fits.
