W00t! Three entries within a 24 hour period!

Three entries on my cat within a 24-hour period!

No pictures this time, just the startling observation that my cat likes Jonny Quest. I had it on the TV as I pencilled my next page, and she jumped up onto a chair and watched it. No kidding. About ten minutes' worth, then she went to sleep, but since all cats suffer from ADD, anything that holds their attention for longer than 30 seconds is miraculous. She's never watched TV for that long before, never even acknowledged it for longer than two seconds, even when I'm watching my guilty pleasure, Animal Cops, and there's dogs and cats barking and yowling onscreen.

In case you wanted to know, my other guilty pleasure is Bravo's Project Runway. Kara's going to win - she's got talent and professionalism and everybody else is a FRICKIN' ANNOYING DRAMA QUEEN!

When I was growing up, one of our two cats was this extra-psychotic mostly-white one-eyed cat that hated everyone and everything. She tolerated us as a necessary evil in order to secure food and warm lap space, but she was likely to randomly scratch the hell out of you, hiss, and run away. She had this fascination for cows. We lived out in the country, and the poeple who owned the pasture across from our land would periodically run longhorn on it (Yes, I live in Texas, why do you ask?). Vermont, the white psychotic one-eyed cat, would on occasion accompany my mother out to the end of the drive to pick up the mail, then sit and watch the cows. I don't know what she saw in them.

The weirdest time, I was in the living room watching the movie Top Secret. There's one scene in which two German officers disguise themselves as a cow in order to sneak into Allied space somewhere, and after they get into the cow suit, they're represented by a real cow wearing two pair of jackboots. So this scene come son. The cat perks up, fixes on the screen, and stares. It cuts away, and she loses interest and settles back down. The cow comes back onto the screen, and the cat alerts again, and watches it. I don't know what she was thinking, or why she actually saw the television at that point but never had before.

I can only conclude that the cat had a cow fetish.

Top Secret is one of my all time favorite movies!

Obviously, it was my cat's favorite movie, too. XD

Were you pissed as I was when Project Runway was a repeat? I was so disappointed. I think it's going to be either Kara, Austin or Kevin.

Cats are strange creatures, I guess that's why we love them so.

Ciao

Are you talking about last night? They had two episodes on - last week's and this week's. Unless you're talking about the long dry stretch from the end of December to the middle of January when they didn't show any of the newer episodes. IT WAS HORRIBLE!

I think that Kara, Austin, and Kevin will make it to Fashion Week, but that Kara will win. I think that the next person to go will be that other woman, who's always wibbling on about things and how people don't show leadership (well, they haven't), but that she feels so left out of everything. I wanted to like her when it started, but she's been driving me crazy ever since. Kevin annoys me, with his cattiness towards anyone he feels turning against him, and Jay's just too weird to win, plus I don't think he's got enough versatility to design a wide range of clothes. I am very happy that they got rid of Nora the drama queen, who spazzed out in the middle of that oen challenge and was surprised that people took it personally.

Kevin got voted out last night. Damn it! I should have checked my schedule.

It will be Kara, Austin and Jay.

Darn, darn, darn......

I meant to say Austin was the one I hated, not Kevin. I got the names wrong. Arg. Kevin was classy up to the very end of the show, when he was packing up, and he started sniping about backstabbing.

Austin is just Total Drama Queen. He was all friendly and complimentary about Whatsherface until she said he wasn't a good leader, when all of a sudden she became the worst designer EVAR to hear him talk. And ... she was *right*! He sucks as a leader! In my experience, anyone who replies with "But I'm a good leader" when someone says they're not isn't. Good leaders don't get defensive about it, because it never comes up, or they say "What could I have done to help you do your job?"
