You sound EXACTLY like my friend [livejournal.com profile] trpchakai... o.o

...Yes, I've been having a mild bout of insomnia, why do you ask? -_-;

(Though I am still rather amazed by the time my entire neighborhood lost power all at once. Neighbors who had never spoken a single word poked their heads outside the doors, and tentatively called out to each other, and everyone found themselves outside and wandering around on a light summer evening. It was surreal, in a way only those grown within the comforts and distractions of electricity could have found it.)

A few years ago I was in a neighborhood that lost power as a result of a truck ramming a light pole on Superbowl Sunday. I, not caring much about the game, threw laundry into the car and went to a laundromat with power, and all my neighbors gathered around outside with the man who had a small battery-operated TV. It was a bonding experience.

You said, "doing it"...... snicker.....

Did I ever tell you I have the sense of humor of a twelve year old.

Which makes you match with the entire rest of my friendslist, I think. :)

First voice post of yours I've ever listened to! And...wow, your voice sounds really familiar. Seriously. I know someone who has the exact same voice, I think. I just can't remember who. XD

[identity profile] telophase.livejournal.com 2006-08-22 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it sounds completely unfamiliar to me, but then again I'm used to hearing it through bone conduction. XD

It's a shocking difference, isn't it? I loathe the sound of my voice when I record it, yet I think it sounds fine when I hear myself speak naturally. Ack. Makes me wonder what my voice sounds like to other people! *cringes*

Exactly - my normal voice, to me, has some nice deep low tones to it that round it out and are completely missing when I hear it recorded.
