BPAL review: Gypsy Queen
Gypsy Queen
BPAL description: From the Carnaval Noir - LE Summer 2005 collection. A heavy-lidded perfume, the quintessence of beauty and power shrouded in mystery, swathed in a deep, velvet-clad cloak of dark omens: Romany incense and candle smoke mingling with an alluring, body-warmed whiff of bergamot, neroli, Bulgar rose, carnation, and amber musk.
In vial: A rich, boozy, almost vanilla scent.
Wet: I think the boozy note is actually the incense. For once the neroli is not unbearably bitter, but is working well and adding a hint of citrus. A bit of powder, too, which must be the amber musk.
Dry: Spicy and powdery at the same time, with that warm amber note udnerneath.
Notes: I think the cat may like it, but she was riveted by the raccoon wandering around outside the window. I kinda like it - it's got the amber warmth and yet something spicy to it. I'll keep it - at least for a while.
Later: Ah. I'm in love. :D I have finally found another scent to cherish! Yaay!
