Aaaaaaarg

Telecommuted today, and spent all day working on ASP scripts for a database to drive the library's hours on the webpage. Rather like self that am spending days working on this merely to avoid about one hour's work per semester inputting the hours manually.

Have also just finished the next manga column; no idea when it'll be posted. Column-writing is going about the same rate as my paper-writing in school: the total research and writing will take about one hour per page, which means that these take about three hours to write.

Am now totally brain-dead and intellectually wrung out. Shall return to Kingdom Hearts and beat up Isz.* And have massive amounts of fun making Sora jump on top of everything he can possibly jump on; am obviously ten years old at heart.

Also have half a piece of chocolate-mousse-y-like cake-thing in fridge leftover from weekend, but am out of lactose-intolerance-fighting pills, so it must languish in uneaten splendour. Woes! Divers alarums! Escaping pronouns!

* Creatures from The Maxx that the Heartless remind me of.

I have nothing useful to say, but thank god someone other than me remembers The Maxx. It warped my youthful psyche and for that I ♥ it.

Of course now I'll never be able to play Kingdom Hearts again without expecting Mr. Gone to show up somewhere....*shudders*

I love The Maxx. When I went cold turkey off comics after I graduated grad school the first time and had to spend money on paying back student loans instead of comics, The Maxx and Hellblazer were the only ones I missed.

Muahahahaha, I have warped your KH expereince! XD

I got stuck on Tarzan. ;_; On the up side, though, that game introduced my six-foot-two, weightlifting, gay-bashing older brother to the wonderful world of Disney. Listening him speak glowingly of Tarzan's prowess in battle and then proclaiming "he's my homeboy" gave me great joy.

He has still not lived it down.

Hee. :D I've finally met Donald and Goofy and teamed up with them, and have just spent a while exploring every last bit of Traverse Town that I can so far before saving the game so I can head off to the gummi ship the next time I play.

There's a chest up on a rooftop, and a bunch of crates lying around and I keep feeling positive that I ought to be able to stack them and jump onto the roof that way, but all I succeed in is smashing the crates. This probably ought to tell me something.

You can't get up onto that roof yet. :)

I'm starting to learn the logic of these RPGs. I spent a long time frustrated at not being able to do a few things before realizing that I would probably come back to this location later. XD Presumably something of the sort is involved with the dalmations' house, since you can't do anything but wander through and notice how empty it is. Pongo and Perdita didn't even react when I jumped on them.

Sora also randomly attacks things because I'm trying to make him jump and don't get my finger on the right button. Coordinated I am not. I am also having endless fun imagining what everyone else in the world must think of him for running around jumping on the furniture and attacking walls. They hide their reactions well. XD
