Syndication

I've just set up syndication for my Vox journal over here, because I like being able to post text messages from my cellphone. I don't actually see doing that a significant amount of time, but if I'm away from a computer and OMG SUFFERING LJ WITHDRAWAL, I can at least do that.

So if you want to read my (most likely few) text-message posts and whatever I choose to post over there, just friend [livejournal.com profile] telophase_vox. Any comments you post on the LJ feed won't send any notifications to me, as far as I know, so be warned. Vox users can comment on Vox but not the public as far as I can tell. If you feel the need to comment on anything and want me to get it, feel free to go to [livejournal.com profile] telophase and leave it on whatever post there.

If you're a paid LJ user (or have a friend who's a paid LJ user) and want to syndicate your Vox feed so people can read it over here, find the RSS or Atom feed - it's on the very bottom of the page in the right-hand column on my Vox layout and titled "Subscribe to a feed of these posts". Take the URL it goes to, which will look something like http://telophase.vox.com/library/posts/atom.xml, and then go to this page. Scroll down to the bottom and put the Vox feed URL in there. It will then ask you for a name for the feed. I used [livejournal.com profile] telophase_vox, obviously, because it's easy to see who and what it is. Ta-da, you're done. The Vox entries may not show up for a few hours - LJ scrapes feeds periodically, not constantly - but they should eventually show up.

Can you send LJ to Vox?

Not that I know of at the moment. I havne't poked around there enough, but a search in their Knowledge Base for 'RSS' only brought up the Vox RSS feed info. If they've got a feature request page, might be worth dropping a request there for feed support.
