Took a short break from laying out page roughs for the Rising Stars of Manga entry [livejournal.com profile] rachelmanija and I are doing to do a slightly nicer version of one of the panels...

Linework in Photoshop, toning in ComicWorks. Yeah, the steam looks like I just erased at the tone and didn't bother to make it look nice, and that's because I just erased at the tone without bothering to make it look nice. It's too late at night to teach myself how to make steam from tone. Moire pattern in tone because I toned it at 300 ppi and you're seeing the 72 ppi version.

Ooh, very nice. Too bad it'll be the size of a postage stamp in the actual manga. You can reprint it in the Gay Mutant Black Ops art book, though...

Heehee! Of course! Along with Minekura-like blatant suggestive poses with him and Jordan.

I saw one from... I think Wild Adapter, the one where I always think, "Gee, Hakkai looks kind of odd in that pic... Oh, wait, that's that other guy," where you could admire it for quite some time before you notice that one of the guys seems to be giving the other a hand-job just offpage.

Which is pretty much what we're doing in ours, come to think of it.

I was thinking of that exact one, too. :)

Shades in the shower? And why doesn't his hair appear to be wet?
I will probably never understand manga.
*Sighs*
Nice butt though...

1) Yup. There's a reason for it. I 'spect you'll eventually find out. :)

2) Well, it is wet. It's thick, black, and straight, so that there's not a whole lot of change from dry to wet. If you could somehow break into my computer and view the character designs, you'd see there's a bit more swing and curve to it normally (http://www.deviantart.com/view/13707655/). Plus, hey, it's a fantasy (and not just mine and [livejournal.com profile] rachelmanija's) and the person fantasizing isn't concerned with the appearance of his ... hair. ;)

3) Yes. Yes, it is.

Oh, I'm sure Jordan admires his hair too. It's great hair.
