this month's BPAL update

I went ahead and ordered a bottle of this year's formulation of Harvest Moon and a couple of others...

Harvest Moon 2006:
This Harvest Moon oil is a merging of autumnal scents from all over the globe: chrysanthemum, pomegranate, cane sugar and dusty wheat, sorghum, green tea leaf, rice flower and rice milk, Russian sage, bamboo shoot, elderberry, black cherry, wild plum, red haw, hazelnut, red apple and shagbark hickory.

There's nothing above that I hate, and the bamboo/cherry/plum things seem to work well on me.

CHAOS THEORY III: STRANGE ATTRACTORS
Each bottle of Chaos Theory is truly unique, a fragrant fractal, and exercise in the joy of chance and uncertainty! Each is a one-of-a-kind, utterly random combination of scents, the composition of which is based on whim, mood and gut instinct.

I couldn't resist the challenge. :D

ET LUX FUIT
At last, the light at the end of our three-month tunnel of misfortune. To commemorate this momentous occasion, we present a big ol’ bottle of sunny, happy, bounciness -- a golden blend with a celebratory feel, promoting joy, peace, and a sense of comfort and well-being: golden amber, heliotrope, vanilla musk, carnation, daisy and sunflower bouquet, neroli, lemon peel, ylang ylang and honeycomb.

Amber is a YES for me, vanilla musk is one of the lighter musks that doesn't go icky on me. I'm a bit iffy on the neroli, but there's so much other stuff that it's worth a try.

In my last order I got a freebie of Black Hellebore (from the Rappacini's Garden section). It smelled interesting in the imp, and on me it was pretty good. I'm going to test it again before determining if it's an OMGYES scent or just a "Good!" scent.

I'm going to have to post and sell some of my unwanted imps and bottles soon - my BPAL-only fund is starting to dry up. XD (At least this is a hobby where I can generate income to pay for the next order...)

HM sounds *awfully* busy.

I'm hoping it blends into a flowery/grassy thing, kind of like Neo-Tokyo, only a bit heavier. The stuff seems to mostly break down into sugar, generic grains, and generic fruits.

And if not, well, there's always someone willing to buy a bottle on the forums and communities.

* Meant to say fruity/grassy.

Does it have any relationship to last year's Harvest Moon? I've lost the description on that one. I remember that one being beautiful.

The autumnal scents of gladiola, chrysanthemum, aster, dahlia, anemone, bergamot, marigold, sage and verbena dust a blend of wine-soaked apples, plums, and red pears, mulling spices and brown sugar, the ivy leaves of Dionysus and Janus’ amaranth and lingum aloe.

Apple, plum, and sugar appear to be the only common elements, with teh florals being replaced by grains and grasses in this year's.

D'oh. Cross-post! I am looking forward to the grains and grasses, given that florals are hit-or-miss on me...okay, I don't actually know about grasses, but I've had good luck with grain so far. :-)

Heehee. :D Bamboo's been hit-or-miss, but Neo-Tokyo with bamboos and light fruit/flowers works really well on me, and I love The Lion, with its amber and dry grass scent, so I'm willing to give them a chance.

Found it

Not the same, but also busy from the description; the result was quite delicate, to my great (and joyous) surprise.

Hee - the Lab estimates they'll be back to their normal 1-2 week turnaround before too long, so I hope I hope I hope that these come quickly.

I just got my Lotus Moon, and I'd thought I'd ordered a bottle fo Chaos Theory, but it didn't arrive with one, and when I checke dmy paypal receipts - nope, I ahdn't actually ordered it. That was sort of sad, since 'd been looking forward to it for four weeks. *sadface*
