Wow, wow, wow. That...is really amazing. And I'm floored that his stuff is all digital (take THAT, people who think digital can't look good, or traditional)!! Thanks for the link!
You're welcome. :D I haven't even looked through all his art yet, but there's just something that really speaks to me. It may have to do with a delicacy of line - the astronaut illustrations are almost weightless.
And he learnt to draw like that in two years? *cries, flings myself out of a window *
It does look good though, just from the brief glance I've given it so far. Some how he manages to make his drawings look simple and detailed at the same time.
:D Well, we don't know what he was drawing like before, and he says his mother was an artist, so I think he probably had some really good tutoring going on there...
Gez Fry is an extremely nice guy. I've met him several times at UK comic conventions and he was always fun to talk to and I've still got his first ever convention drawing in our artbook.
If anyone wants to try out his artwork you could do a lot worse then pick up Digital Graffiti from what was AP Comics (A UK comic company). Doing a quick google, Mile High Comics and Mars Import both have the trade paperback.
