The cat does not appreciate the cat bed I bought her - she peed in it. I told her she therefore owes me ten dollars, but she's pretending she doesn't speak English. "Que? Que? No habla inglese, senorita!" At least it's washable, it was only ten dollars, and since she doesn't like it, I'm thinking I can use it to keep her off things I don't want her to be on.

In other news, I'm planning on putting together a doujinshi anthology for A-Kon[1]. If you think you can handle visual storytelling, go here to read about the possibility. [livejournal.com profile] tesstrosa, I sent you a note about it on DA.

[1] [livejournal.com profile] rachelmanjia, this is the Next Cracktastic Project after RSOM, don't get worried - I'm always thinking at least one project ahead of everything. :)

I also managed to score a raw version of Howl's Moving Castle off of BitTorrent. No English subtitles - the subtitles display as garbage, so I'm assuming it's Chinese or soemthing that uses a different character set. I've watched a few minutes of the beginning and it's very much a Ghibli look. The airships threw me a bit in the beginning - the steampunk elements weren't in Diana Wynne Jones' book, but I fidn them charming. :)

I can't wait for an English translation to be released, and then I can't wait for the official DVD to come out. I have zero reservations about downloading this, because I'd be happy to drop money on every bit of swag I could possibly get. Studio Ghibli ain't gonna be hurting for my dollars.

She peed in it because now it belongs to her. I had a group of cats once that all took turns peeing in the beds and whoever peed in it last was the one who got to sleep in it for the week. Every time I washed it they raced to see who could pee in it first. It was a battle I was never fated to win. As long as they didn't pee on the couch, I let them have at it.

Heh. Well, she has shown absolutely no interest in it otherwise, so who knows?

"and since she doesn't like it, I'm thinking I can use it to keep her off things I don't want her to be on."

Won't work...she'll just pee on it there and get whatever that is nasty. :D I've tried it.

Course, mine little butthead has taken to piles of laundry...he'll pee there. And it's bad enough the laundry needs to be done, but then that......that just makes it soooo much worse.

Heh. Oh well. Cats are perverse little beasts. :)

Oh yes....mine has a thing for attacking me....as a matter of fact, I through him off my arm 15 times in a row (my husband was kind enough to count for me....oO) This was, of course, after he attacked my face this morning....little bastard.

Heehee. :) Mine hasn't shown any aggression towards me, except once when I was poking her too much and she Just Had Enough, so I thoroughly deserved it. And even at that, it wasn't a real scratch or anything - just a frustrated yowl, a swipe with a paw that missed, and running away.

I ahve discovered that not only doesn she not like tuna very much, she doesn't like chicken either. I'm off to buy some kitty treats in the vain hope I'll find *something* I can bribe her with when I need to.

I thought you might need reassurance. :)
