The face close-up, for some reason, reminds me of Eyeshield 21's Shin Seijuro

"jazz hands" made me think Ed from Full Metal Alchemist. Possibly doing something magical-girly. :-)

I agree with Brigdh, "reaching out" strikes me as very Goku. "Jazz hands" looks like Kazuki to me, but I think I already mentioned I don't know how familiar you are with GetBackers, nor how well that would sell.
