I think his shoulder seems a little too...much, his right shoulder. It could be the shirt is scrunched up but it looks a little like it's a broad shoulder, which ain't right.
I don't mind him without the cigarette. You know it's resting next to his booze at the edge of the stage.
Kazuya Minekura's art style *does* give them broad shoulders... anyway, I know what you mean but I haven't figured out quite how to fix it yet - the original photo has some weird perspective going on with his shoulder and upper arm, which makes it look like it's half the size of his lower arm, so I *had* to do something with his shoulder. Ah well, they all have things that need to be fixed - Gojyo's hair shouldn't be going in front of his hand, and Hakkai's expression is still a little Not Right, as well as his shirt being provided with an overabundance of creases and folds.
Oh -- I had one reference photo that had a guy - probably singing the blues - with his right hand clenched in such a fashion that it would have been easy to slide the neck of a Jack Daniels bottle into it. Ended up not using it because of a combination of things - he was stocky, which would ahve been hard to slim down, and he was wearing a hat and glasses that obscured his face, so it would have been extra hard to figure out the shape of his head and features.
I couldn't readjust his fingers on his left hand to hold a cigarette and have them look like actual fingers, and his right hand is just a little too wrong to be able to stick a cigarette in there without it blocking his face. Ah well.
I *do* have a sneaking desire to do a pic of Goku on the cowbell and upload it to DA before I upload the drum pic, just to see what all my watchers say. XD
