Spring 2006 Anime

Pata over at Irresponsible Pictures has a rundown of a lot of this spring's anime airing in Japan. The two that seem the most intriguing to me from her descriptions are ARIA The NATURAL and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Anyone know if they're being fansubbed? if so, anyone willing to YSI an episode of each, since my ISP won't allow BT?

I'm almost positive Suzumiya is being fansubbed, but I haven't gotten around to watching that myself. Only Spring anime I've watched thus far is Ouran Koukou Host Club and Air Gear, with the former being the only one I will continue watching...probably. Oh, wait, saw NANA, too...

I read the first volume of the Host Club manga and suffered a hideous allergic reaction to the characters and story, and thus have no desire whatsoever to watch the anime. :)

Is there a Gainax WTF?! series this season?

If it's any consolation, I didn't really care for the Host Club manga at all, and yet I still love the anime ^^;

I had that reaction to the first chapter of Host Club. The heads are just...hideous.

I read the whole thing, because girls-disgused-as-boys are one of my things.* So I went in predisposed to like it, and wanting to like it, and willing to give it every chance in the world, but it stomped me flat and spat on the remains.




* I'd say 'kink' except that it's non-sexual. :D

It looks like three episodes of Melancholy are already out. Do you want just one, or all three? In return, please continue to supply me with Chintsubo/Chintsubu (which spelling is correct? I've seen both, with more Google hits for 'u' than 'o'.) :)

Heh. If I find more copies of Chintsibo/u (I ahve no idea which one's right), I'll send 'em on.

All I want right now is the first ep - if I like it, then I'll want others (and I'm not entirely sure when 'll get the chance to watch it), but for now just the first. :D
